Sean Hartnett, geography and anthropology, interviewed Haile Gebrselassie of Ethiopia after he broke the marathon world record during the Berlin Marathon Sept. 30. The interview can be found online through the Track and Field News and Let's Run Web sites. Hartnett's maps also were featured in the pre-race feature section of Track and Field News.

Harry Jol, geography and anthropology, was interviewed by WAXX/WAYY radio Sept. 28 for a story about his research in Israel. Jol and UW-Eau Claire student Jacob McDonald also were interviewed Sept. 17 by Chippewa Valley Community Television for a show titled "Sinai, commandments and Wisconsin research."
