Life's work can continue after death

UW-Eau Claire alumna Sharon Stokes, who died Sept. 13, authored a column titled "Life's work can continue after death," which ran in the Sept. 14 issue of the Leader-Telegram. She also was remembered in the Sept. 13 Leader-Telegram article "Woman's wish was to comfort others: 'Heart and soul' of care facility dies at 55."

BARC Program

UW-Eau Claire students Erin Barney and Kristine Funk, along with Dan Holt, psychology, were interviewed for the Sept. 13 WQOW-TV story "BARC Program: Teaching Old Dogs New Tricks." The three also were interviewed for the Sept. 13 Spectator story "The dog whisperers: Psychology students resurrect behavioral analysis program to study canines' psyche, mental conditions." Students Kevin Schlichenmeyer and Kelly Neri also were mentioned in the Spectator article.

Eye on education

UW-Eau Claire student Ali Ismail was featured in the Sept. 13 Leader-Telegram story "Eye on education: Seeing hardships in Somalia fosters student's work ethic."

Viva Blugolds

Randy Dickerson, music and theatre arts, UW-Eau Claire student Mike Renneke and John Bachmeier, director of alumni relations, were quoted in the Sept. 11 Leader-Telegram article "Viva Blugolds: Band to play for pope on New Year's Day." Ethan Wickman, music and theatre arts, also was mentioned in the article.
